In the midst of much speculation due to scheduled press events and an ongoing theme park battle with Universal, Disney is opening the gates to their newest expansion May 27th. Disney made their announcement during their DIS earnings call today.
Pandora - The World of AVATAR will be Animal Kingdom's newest addition, turning the James Cameron franchise into a major theme park experience. The land will feature 2 rides, a restaurant, merchandise shops and unprecedented theme park technology where guests will be immersed into bioiluminescent forest. The expansion will present a whole new experience at night when the land of the Na'vi reside.
