Pandora - The World of AVATAR is set to raise the bar as far as theme park technology goes.
With bioluminescent forests, glowing plants, floating mountains and creating the whole language of the Na'vi, Imagineer Joe Rohde says trying to build Pandora "was a crazy thing to do."
James Cameron, director of the AVATAR franchise, suggests Animal Kingdom's expansion will be nothing short of impressive. Along with interactive wildlife, Pandora will also be the home to Satu'li Canteen (restaurant), gift shops and 2 marquee attractions: "Na'vi River Journey" and "AVATAR Flight of Passage."
This video from Disney Parks shows footage of both attractions, as well as the groundbreaking technology that will be used to light up the interactive bioluminescent forest.
Pandora: The World of AVATAR is set to open summer 2017.
