Review: D-Luxe Burger

The long-awaited Disney Springs Town Center finally opened today (May 15) with a bunch of new restaurants and stores opening their doors for the very first time on Disney property. The setting of D-Luxe is a vintage, ranch-inspired burger and shake stop. The theming is incredibly well done, from the fireplace in the dining room, to the detail in light fixtures and even the language the cast members speak.

D-Luxe Burger was one of those restaurants to start serving up some dishes on this fine spring morning. They have quite a unique menu, not exactly exotic, but interesting enough to keep you coming back for more.I tried "El Diablo" and I will certainly be back to order it again.

The patty was extremely juicy, but not greasy, and brought the perfect amount of heat. With these mouthwatering patties, D-Luxe offers a slew of frozen concoctions to help you wash down your meal.

The cake shake had the perfect amount of thickness and lacked the artificial, overpowering sugar taste you typically find elsewhere. If typical milkshakes aren't your cup of tea, the restaurant also offers Coke floats--- oh yeah, there are also alcoholic shakes one the menu.

The menu includes burgers you won't find anywhere else like "El Diablo," which has chorizo and beef ground together, topped with pepper-jack cheese, banana peppers, lettuce, tomatoes and a chipotle mayo sauce. Another thing to mention is that all of the buns are made in-house; they are gluten and peanut free as well.

Here's a look at the menu: Burgers

  • Classic Cheeseburger (signature blend beef patty topped with cheddar, lettuce tomato and pickle)

  • Barbecue Classic Burger (signature blend beef patty topped with a fried onion ring, smoked gouda, bacon, barbecue sauce and lettuce)

  • El Diablo Burger (Chorizo and signature blent patty, fried banana peppers, pepper-jack cheese, lettuce, tomato and chipotle mayo)

  • Southern Classic Burger (signature blend beef patty topped with friend-green tomato, pimento cheese, lettuce and bacon

  • Cluck Burger (ground chicken patty, garlic herb sauce, avocado, lettuce and tomato)

  • Veggie Burger (topped with Tzatziki, green bean salad, lettuce and tomato)

Desserts

  • Red Velvet Burger Macaron

Dipping Sauces for Fries

  • Garlic Ranch

  • Horseradish

  • Chipotle Mayo

  • 3 Mustard and Honey

  • Buffalo Blue Cheese

  • Curry Ketchup

Artisanal Gelato Shakes (you can make any shake a malt)

  • Vanilla

  • Chocolate

  • Strawberry

  • Smores

  • Cake

  • Salted Caramel

Alcoholic Shakes

All-in-all, without succumbing to the hype, I can confidently say these are the best burgers on property. They are incredibly innovative, and the fact that it is counter service makes it so much better because you don't need reservations or have to wait to be seated. The meals are very reasonable and are a smidgen under what you would pay for a burger at the park. I vehemently recommend this old-fashion shake shop and will be going back in the future.
