The Disney Springs facelift continues with 5 restaurants on tap between 2017 and 2018.
This fall, Chicago-based Levy Restaurants is introducing a new Italian concept at Disney Springs, with James Beard award winner Chef Tony Mantuano leading development. The new restaurant replaces Levy’s Portobello Country Italian Trattoria.
As we reported in a previous post, Wine Bar George is also coming to Disney Springs in late 2017. Master Sommelier George Miliotes is taking the reigns on this project, bringing his expertise (along with more than 100 selections of wines) to Disney Springs. The hangout spot will also feature cheese and charcuterie offerings to help compliment the wine. Miliotes is widely regarded as one of the industry’s foremost wine experts, and is one of only 236 professionals certified by the Court of Master Sommeliers.
The Edison is expected to close out a busy year at Disney Springs. The 'Industrial Gothic' restaurant, bar and nighttime hotspots is slated to open by the end of 2017. Patina Restaurant Group and Kinetescape's Andrew Meieran are coming together to form a place where classic american food and creative cocktails become the stars of the show. The Edison will be themed to a 1920s-era electric company, recalling an exuberant era of invention and imagination with entertainment that includes contortionists, aerialists, DJs and more.
In 2018, Jaleo will make it's presence known in the shopping district. A concept put together by world-renowned Chef José Andrés’, Spain will be coming right to the table at this diverse restaurant. With an extensive menu of tapas, paella and food from all of the different regions of Spain, guests will have a chance to take a bite out of the European culture. The first floor of the multi-level restaurant will feature a “grab-n-go” storefront with Spanish-style sandwiches. This will be the 6th location for Jaleo and the first Florida location.
Also coming in 2018 is a new Wolfgang Puck concept coming to Town Center. Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill will put a new spin on the "bar and grill" phrase. The menu will highlight the best of Puck’s signature dishes with Mediterranean influences, innovative takes on comfort food classics and handcrafted specialty cocktails, beer and wine.
