Each and every year Animal Kingdom celebrates Earth Day and 2017 is no different.
This year, Animal Kingdom is promoting Disney Nature's newest movie Born In China, which features various amounts of wildlife and ecosystems in Eastern hemisphere.
Festivities run from April 21-23, with a number of offerings including a special cupcake, games, photo-ops and a special character appearance.
Jiminy Cricket Meet & Greet - Every year Jiminy meets his guests during the event. He will be appearing for signatures and photo-ops at Rafiki's Planet Watch intermittently from 10:15am-12:45pm & 1:55pm-4:45pm.
Free Animal Cut-outs - Upon entering the park, there will be handouts in the form of 10 different animal cutouts allowing guests to "see nature" in different forms. This coincides with the Conservation Fund and Disney wants guests to share their creative photos on social media using the #DisneyAnimals tag.
Snow Leopard Activities - The Maharajah Jungle Trek in Asia will be home to a number of activities relating to the snow leopard, a main star in Born In China's. There will also be free activity packets to participate with.
Photopass Opportunities - Disney Photopass loves to utilize props throughout the parks. For Earth Day there will be a picture frame, post-photo effects as well as a Born in China magic shot.
Flights of Wonder Pre-show - There will be a special pre-show for the bird performance, along with a chance to meet a Disney veterinarian.
Specialty Cupcake - Treat yourself to a specialty Party for the Planet chocolate cupcake with chocolate mousse filling and buttercream icing at Creature Comforts and Isle of Java in Discovery Island or panda-themed cookies and candy apples at Zuri’s Sweets Shop in Africa.
Once again, Part for the Planet festivities run from April 21 - 23 at Animal Kingdom.
