Meet the Cast: Frozen on Broadway

5:36pm ET

It's been known that Frozen is coming to Broadway-- and now we know the stars.

The musical will open at the St. James Theater in the spring of 2018, with Caissie Levy and Patti Murin leading the show.

Caissie Levy - Elsa

Levy has starred on Broadway in Ghost, Wicked, and the 2014 revival of Les Misérables. We absolutely cannot wait to see her take on “Let It Go.”

Originally, it was reported that Betsy Wolfe would take on the role of Elsa back in April 2016, but now Levy takes the spot. Wolfe could still potentially be involved with the project by taking on a different roll.

Patti Murin - Anna

Murin was in the original Broadway productions of Lysistrata Jones and Xanadu, and we can’t wait to see her as the adorable and quirky Anna!

She also seems to be a bit excited for everyone to hear the news:

Jelani Alladin - Kristoff

This will be Alladin’s Broadway debut, and what a debut it will be. We’re looking forward to seeing Kristoff and Sven and the famous “Reindeer(s) Are Better Than People” song!

Greg Hildreth - Olaf

Hildreth previously stared in Peter and the Starcatcher and Cinderella on Broadway. We hope he likes summer, because he’s going to be singing about it a lot!

Here's Hildreth doing some research:

John Riddle - Hans

Riddle previously starred in The Visit’s Young Anton, and we can’t wait to see him as the devious Hans!

Robert Creighton - Duke of Weselton

Creighton previously starred on Broadway in The Little Mermaid and Anything Goes. Looking forward to seeing him as Duke Weasel—we mean Wesel—ton!

In addition to the on-stage cast, Frozen on Broadway includes:

Director - Michael Grandage

Choreographer - Rob Ashford

Music and Lyrics - Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez (who also did the music for the animated feature)

Costume Design - Christopher Oram

Sound Design - Peter Hylenski

Music Supervisor - Stephen Oremus

Frozen on Broadway will begin it's out-of-town playout at the Buell Theater in the Denver Center for the Performing Arts starting August 17. It will officially hit Broadway in the spring of 2018.
