According to the New York Post and Broadway.com, actress Betsy Wolfe will be returning to the big stage as the ice queen. The Disney Musical directed by Alex Timbers will surely include Elsa's power ballad "Let It Go," and Wolfe has the pipes to pull it off. She made her Broadway debut as a performer in 2007's 110 in the Shade. Since then, she's been in: Everyday Rapture (2010), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (2012) and Bullets Over Broadway (2014). The snow-filled sensation will feature both songs from the award-winning film, as well as new sing-along tunes. Kristen Anderson-Lopez and her husband Robert Lopez will be writing bone-chilling songs for the girls of Arrendelle's new adventure.. just as they did for the animated feature. The clever Wolfe was dropping hints. I had checked her Twitter after I heard of rumors circulating, and there were some frozen fractals in her header image:
Frozen will make its Broadway debut in 2018.
Here is a video Kristen Anderson-Lopez posted to Youtube of Betsy Wolfe performing "Let It Go" at Carnegie Hall last month.
