Central Florida has been hit with a stretch of dry weather over the last month-- causing for multiple brush fires. Governor Rick Scott has asked the National Guard to step in and help, while putting other property owners on alert.
In order to prevent any catastrophic wildfires, Disney World is cancelling all recreational wildfires around property.
Here's their statement:
Weather notification.Due to dry conditions, there are currently fire restrictions throughout Central Florida. As a result, campfires at our Resort hotels will not take place as scheduled. Other recreation activities will continue to be held.
