Disney Channel's newest star and first latina princess is getting her own TV movie.
Differing from the hit Disney Jr. show, Elena and the Secret of Avalor will show how the young princess was imprisoned in her magical amulet by the evil sorceress. The evil sorceress, Shuriki, is voiced by Jane Fonda-- and eventually overtaken by Elena with the help of another Disney Jr. friend. Princess Sofia is the one who comes to Elena's rescue, freeing her from the amulet as the young princess sets out to start her journey.
Elena and the Secret of Avalor will premiere on Disney Channel and Disney Junior on Sunday, November 20 at 7pm ET.
