Orange County Deputies made a trip to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon over the holiday weekend to arrest a man on multiple counts of molestation and battery. On Sunday, July 3rd, families were hoping to go to the water park to cool off... but instead got fired up after multiple witnesses saw 27 year old Aman Bhatia touch several children in the park's world-famous wave pool. Bhatia, a Louisiana native, faces four counts of lewd and lascivious molestation of a child and two counts of battery. According to the arrest affidavit, one teen says the suspect grabbed her from behind and pulled her towards him. She was able to break free, but said he grabbed her again with both hands and friends had to intervene to get Bhatia away.
Authorities say they were questioning Bhatia, who said he broke his glasses and bumped into several people in the wave pool as a result. While the investigation was ongoing and an arrest was made, a Disney manager said Bhatia will never return to Walt Disney World again. The affidavit describes it as a permanent ban. Aman Bhatia was released on $10,000 bond. He will reappear in court at a later date.
