LucasFilm releases a title for their next film in the Skywalker saga: Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Also to be referred to as Episode VIII, the move will be written and directed by Rian Johnson, produced by Kathleen Kennedy & Ram Bergman and looked of by executive producers J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin and Tom Karnowski.
This will likely be the last installment to feature Leia Organa due to the passing of Carrie Fisher; Lucasfilm says they will not digitally recreate the actress.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is scheduled to be released on December 15, 2017.
