With confirmation from News13, it looks like Typhoon Lagoon will be the next Disney destination to receive an upgrade. The Orlando Business Journal found engineering documents and project permit plans from the Southwest Florida Water Management District that further advance these developments. The expansion stretches over 2.8 acres near the most recently constructed attraction "The Crush n' Gusher" (built in 2005). This new area will have an elevated family raft ride, beautiful landscaping features and a seating area where guests will be able to soak up some Florida sun. There is no word yet on when the plans will be approved or when construction will begin.
