Donald Glover, aka Childish Gambino is the newest actor to join the Star Wars franchise. Actor, comedian, Grammy nominee, rapper and improv specialist, Glover will now be adding Lucasfilm centerpiece to his resume. Star Wars announcing the young actors will be playing Lando Calrissian in the untitled Han Solo Star Wars film led by Phil Lord and Christopher Millers. StarWars.com:
This new film depicts Lando in his formative years as a scoundrel on the rise in the galaxy’s underworld — years before the events involving Han, Leia, and Darth Vader in The Empire Strikes Back and his rise to Rebel hero in Return of the Jedi.
Donald Glover is also set to become a Marvel superhero in the upcoming Spiderman: Homecoming movie.
The untitled Han Solo movie is set for release in 2018.
