Disney is looking to get Giselle (Amy Adams) back on the big screen after naming a director for the sequel: Disenchanted. This movie is a follow up to 2010's Enchanted, which raked in $340,000,000 worldwide. In the original film, Amy Adams portrayed the prototypical Disney princess who got thrown into the real world-- but still kept her fairytale elements. While still in the animated portion of her life, Giselle was set to marry her Prince Charming before getting put in another world.
Adam Shankman, who directed Hairspray, is reportedly onboard to direct this whimsical sequel. With his love for musicals, he could certainly add an extra element to this follow-up. It's also worth noting that Alan Menken composed songs for Enchanted.
Disney is trying to get production rolling something in 2017.
