Tanleer Tivan houses the Guardians of the Galaxy in their display cases over a dark abyss. However, without their captor knowing, the Guardians' rocket escapes but needs the VIP guests (Disney guests/riders) to help. The guests embark on a once in a lifetime journey as they get aboard the gantry and help other Guardians break out. This galactic journey will take place in the vastly transformed Tower of Terror at Disney's California Adventure. Coming next summer (2017), guests will embark on their first Marvel cinematic journey here in the states. The overhaul on they world-famous Tower of Terror will include new audio, video and special effects. Guests will experience multiple random, unique ride profiles in which the rise and fall of the gantry lift will hear familiar tunes from the Awesome Mixtape featured in the movie. Tower of Terror as California guests know it, will close in early 2017.
What else is in store? Disney Parks is making it sound like DCA could be gearing up for a major Marvel overhaul in the near future. Take a look at the quote below..

**One thing to note is that world-renowned Imagineer and Disney mind Joe Rohde is leading this project and hints that this is only the beginning of what DCA will have to offer. Rohde is known for coming up with the concept for Disney's Animal Kingdom and leading the development for DAK's newest expansion: Pandora.
